Mom Puts Out Social Media Plea To Help Find Son's Lost Surfboard
EAST HAMPTON, NY — Has anyone found a tan surfboard?
That's the question East Hampton mom Anne Kochanasz posed to a Facebook group Thursday as she searched for her 6-year-old son's lost board.
"I know it’s a huge long shot," she wrote. "We lost my son’s new-to-him surfboard — just bought it last Tuesday — on the way home from White Sands beach this morning. We live in East Hampton."
She added: "It must’ve fallen out of the back of our truck while we were driving. Hoping/wishing somebody in this group may have found it. I immediately retraced our drive once we got home and realized it wasn’t in the truck, but had no luck."
Also, she asked if anyone had a used surf board they were looking to sell if it’s not found.
The lost surfboard is a 7-foot, 6-inch Wavewalker, she said.
Of her son, she said: "He is very upset, but also handling it very sweetly. I was in tears, and he gave me a huge hug and told me, 'It’s okay, Mom. It’s not your fault.'"
If the surfboard is found Kochanasz can be found on Facebook.
